INTRODUCTION
Nasrin was born in the centre of
Iran and spent summer
holidays in
a mysterious land called ‘Naragh’ with vast fields and high mountains
which inspired her for ever to consider art as an essential element
in life.
She was in the first year of university when the 1979 Revolution
fundamentally changed the country she knew and loved.
After travelling and evaluating different countries, she migrated to
the Gold Coast, Australia with husband Mehran and their daughters
Setareh & Sadaf in July 1990.
Like many migrants, she went through many up and down situations
similar to the undulating Australian landscape. The result of these
uneven experiences has made her a 'multifunctional' character — arts
teacher, community arts project designer and manager, academic &
visual artist.
